Fourth difference: compatibility
Both USB-A and USB-C are designed to be backward compatible with devices.

Likewise, the USB-C 3.2 connector is also backward compatible with USB-C standards.
While you cannot plug the micro USB-C connector into one of the USB-A ports.
The technical future with USB-C
